So being the cynical 20 something i am, I usually can’t stand weddings…

the hair, the makeup, the bridesmaid dresses….to me it’s all bullshit. If you need to dress it up like that it’s not REALLY real. Ya know? 

And then my med school friend got married. I couldn’t go…bc i m dating the military and it is an abusive controlling lover….but it was so simple, and sincere, and just…honest. 

Why can’t more weddings be like this? You dont need to have expert lighting, or monograms, or that much bling over every square inch…
