Yesterday, while rounding in the morning, we visited a patient who was suddenly gasping for breath. He had to be urgently intubated in order to keep breathing. It was fast and furious for 15 mintues while we crash intubated him. It was exciting, exhilarting and terrifying. And then I had to go talk to a whiny lady about her poop. Not my favorite kind of rebound, but it was a rebound...

Yep, I even have med school breakdowns on break.
Just sitting here thinking that I AM EXPECTED TO GO BACK TO MEDICAL SCHOOL IN 3ISH DAYS. That’s right…doesn’t matter that i put my blood/sweat/tears/best years of my life into the last 4 months bc i have to do it all again. Superb.
I don’t know why but i’m reading all these blogs about other medical students/residents….and they are all having the same thoughts...

Small town america has a tolerance for outspoken men, but not for women….i can tell that you are doubting me, but I have been home five days (5), and have already been called my usual ’ snot’, ’ very rude’ and ’ spoiled’.
